And so John flew his team home, smiling despite his exhaustion at Ronon’s soft snores, the kind he only let out when he knew he was safe, and the way Teyla’s head flopped to the side when she didn’t have a pillow, and Rodney’s mewling kitten sounds that were probably roars of intimidation for whatever lab he’d dreamed himself into this time.
He could get used to missions like this.
