Insane Troll Logic Time!
So today in chorus, we got some new music. One song was called Somewhere Over the Sea, and when we started to look at it, I realized, this is that Tinker Tailor song! in english!and I was very excited. Then we started singing it properly, and I started thinking something like this:
La Mer / Somewhere Over The Sea -> Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy -> Benedict Cumberbatch -> Sherlock. Therefore, the lyrics, which are all alongs the lines of “Somewhere across the sea, my lover is waiting for me…” + Richenbach = TheFeeeeeeels!
And so this is now my official Post-Richenbach Song. yup.
(Unfortunately, though, I sing alto with this group, which is much less than exciting. Actually, it kinda hurts my voice, singing that low for a whole rehersal, so I guess I’m moving deeper into sopranoland. That’s cool. I just wish I was allowed to actually sing what is proper and comfortable!)
